It is unclear if Mamelodi Sundowns duo of Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau will feature against kaizer chiefs on Saturday.
The two Bafana Bafana stars were benched for four consecutive games for Masandawana. Fans have speculated that the duo have clashed with Manqoba Mngqithi in recent weeks following their visit to Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema.
Mudau and Mokoena might be benched for Kaizer Chiefs clash
In February, Mokoena declared his love for the EFF’s leader during Bafana Bafana’s arrival from the Africa Cup of Nations. “I’m really happy to see President Julius, he is my favourite president in the country,” the Bafana star said at the time.
Earlier this month, the midfield took to Instagram to post picture of himself with Malema.
With Sundowns playing Kaizer Chiefs this weekend, fans are wondering if Mokoena and Mudau will make the team. Mngqithi has given his reasons to why he has continued to leave his top players.
“They are still very important players to the team; you must know that,” Mngqithi said last week.
“They are still going to come in and help us, but after the Mbabane Swallows game, it was difficult to change the team that much because we achieved far more than [in] many other games.”
Both Mokoena and Mudau played a big role last season when Downs defeated Kaizer Chiefs three times. Leaving out both players for Saturday’s match might bring more heat on the former Golden Arrows coach.
